Mangosteen and anti aging secrets.

The mangosteen (no relation to the mango) is a tropical fruit that’s native to Southeast Asia. It was actually banned in the United States until 2007 because of concerns about a fruit fly infestation. Like the pomegranate, the mangosteen contains a high concentration of polyphenol antioxidants. I had fresh mangosteen when I was in Asia a few months ago, and it was delicious — kind of like a tangy peach with a creamy texture. Both pomegranates and mangosteens are available in juice form at health food stores and specialty grocery stores, but they are increasingly being added to skin care products. In fact, they’re often combined in the same products. One study found that a commercial skin cream containing a mixture of mangosteen and pomegranate lessened facial wrinkling and sun damage after daily use for 60 days.

If you’re interested in "anti-aging secrets" you will want to learn about mangosteen.
No other tropical fruit has been found to contain as high concentrated doses of antioxidant vitamins, known as xanthones, with the power to nourish, transform your skin, and reverse the signs of aging.
Mangosteen Fruits (Garcinia mangostana) is found primarily in Southeast Asia, parts of South America and the Philippines. Although the fruit can be eaten fresh or dried, it is its juice that has grown in popularity.
The exotic fruit juice can be used topically on your face and dried juice powder can be used to mix in an anti aging cream.
Aside from the well known health benefits of this fruit,an enormous amount of modern study and research has been channeled toward unlocking the anti aging skin care secrets of this remarkable fruit.
Xanthones are found in abundance throughout the entire fruit, but with the greatest amount being found in the pericarp or inner rind of the fruit. Xanthones are 100 times more powerful antioxidants than vitamin A, C & E.
The antioxidant properties of xanthones are now available in anti aging skin care. Xanthones, have properties which help to heal cells damaged by free radicals, slow aging, and ward off degenerative diseases.
It is the the latest miracle fruit, having great anti-oxidizing benefits which in turn help to control the aging process.

Natural Anti aging Benefits
This Asian fruit, packed with naturally occurring xanthone, can help:
  • Stimulates collagen protein production to strengthen the skin matrix.
  • Rich in phytonutrients, which are natural compounds that provide health benefits by working together with other nutrients in your body.
  • Strengthen Your Immune System.
  • Promote a Healthy Respiratory System.
  • Maintain Intestinal Health.
  • Support Cartilage and Joint Function.
  • Combat the effects of Free Radicals and Inflammation.
  • Anti aging – Pure mangosteen pericarp oil can give topical skin nutrition to sooth, energize, and protect skin.
  • Brings balance and helps in signs of inflammation in problem skin.
The Importance Of Mangosteen Antioxidants
200 different varieties of xanthones have been identified through scientific studies, with 40 found in mangosteen. Antioxidants may offer the best protection your body has against damaging free radicals.
Free radicals attack us from many different environmental sources every day such as in the form of pollutants in the air we breath, food additives, alcohol, tobacco, sun exposure, pesticides, and prescription drugs.
As we age, the amount of free radicals we produce increases. It has been determined that very large amounts of free radicals accumulated in your body, may significantly shorten your life span and age prematurely.
Antioxidant juice, vitamins, or other sources protect against the oxidizing effects of free radicals, stimulate the immune system's response to help fight existing diseases and help slow skin aging.

Nutrient Rich Benefits
Although free radicals cannot be completely avoided as they are produced as a part of normal cellular function there is antiaging solutions.
To maintain good anti aging skin care, health and our well being, it is clearly imperative that we must supplement our diets with natural antioxidants.

High protein meals good for your skin?

Protein is Good for Skin!
It is getting close to that time of the year that proteins are in all recipes. We will say that protein is important for healthy skin. Whether you get that from a stuffed turkey or from a meat-substitute, you’re doing your skin a favor when you eat a protein-rich meal. So when you’re feeling guilty about that large serving of turkey, just remember, protein is good for your skin!
Antioxidants: Cranberries, Pumpkins and Green Vegetables
Whether your skin care concern is acne treatment or anti-aging skin care, antioxidants are the most important nutritional element for healthy skin. Both topical skin care with antioxidants and a healthy skin diet rich in antioxidants can lead to glowing, radiant skin that’s better every day. Two Thanksgiving staples, cranberries and pumpkin, are extremely rich in antioxidants. Of course, you’ll want to be cautious about the preparation of these foods. Cranberry sauce or pumpkin treats that are loaded down with refined carbohydrates such as sugars can neutralize the benefit of the antioxidants in the food itself. Think about preparations of traditional Thanksgiving foods that incorporate fewer refined, processed ingredients and instead focus on the natural, fresh taste of the foods.
Also, remember that all Thanksgiving meals include vegetables such as broccoli, beans and salads. Vegetables are rich in antioxidants and low in calories and fat (as long as you minimize the dressings, butter and salt). Load up a plate of vegetables and be thankful for a great harvest and great skin.
Finally, consider incorporating foods into your Thanksgiving meal that are less traditional but have high antioxidant value. Pomegranate is a seasonally appropriate fruit that’s also loaded with antioxidant value. Let’s get ready for the Holiday Season!

Don't overdo the skin exfoliation

As tempting as it may be to try to scrub away your skin problems, be sure not to overdo the skin exfoliation.
Your skin issues did not form overnight and they will not go away overnight regardless of how hard you scrub. In fact, scrubbing too hard can actually cause more damage than good. Instead, use your skin care products as directed and let the ingredients do the work.

How facial age spots develop?

It is a well known and even proven fact that the age spots on face develop because of immense exposure to sun. Let’s understand what happens in the skin which results in the development of the age spots.
The process of growth of age spots on face can be in some way compared to the scar formation on our body. Just like scars, the age spots are bundled up when they start and may also soften with the passage of time.
Age spots are nothing but the consequence of years spent in the sun. There is a pigment present in the upper layer of our skin, called melanin, which is responsible for imparting a particular color to our skin. This pigment is produced to protect our skin from the harmful part of sun rays. When we stay in sun for longer periods, the UV rays emitted by sun accelerate the production of melanin. Because of the over production caused by sun rays, the bundling of melanin happens which appear on the face or body as the dark spots. Thus we can say that the age spots on face are the result of hyper pigmentation.
Sometimes, other things also become the reason of development of age spots on face. It could be old age which causes brown or black spots on the body. Also, at times some rare disease may also lead to increased production of melanin, without even getting much exposure to the sun.
Though development of age spots can happen on anybody, however, there are more chances of age spots on face if you are fair complexion or you have frequent and extended exposure to sun.
To treat and prevent age spots we recommend a few products. The AHA Kojic Peel, Arbutin Brightening Duo Kit and you can never forget the use of a Daily Sunscreen
